This special edition Black And White HDTV by Pioneer will definitely make heads turn not only for its looks but for what its name implies.  Sorry folks, but if you think Pioneer has resurrected the somehow passe black and white TV viewing then you need to look twice.

Pioneer’s new Shiro Kuro gets inspiration from the successful Kuro line.  What makes this Shiro Kuro which means black and white is not the picture emanating from the 50-inch screen but the it refers to the white frame.

You wouldn’t be disappointed though because it has the same basic features as that of the Kuro line including the 1080 pixel resolution and the much sought-after Intelligent Brightness Control. With this feature your screen will automatically adjust to your room’s  lighting condition.

The Shiro Kuro is available only in the UK though, for 3300 pounds.
