SONY BRAVIA E4000

If you’re looking for an LCD TV that doesn’t look like an LCD TV but more of a work of art, Sony just answered your prayers with their new Sony Bravie E4000 Series. You can choose the color of your LCD frames from Midnight Sky, Aluminium, Pearly White and Dark Walnut.

The Sony Bravia E4000 Series, has six default masterpieces which you can use to fool your guests into thinking you have a large work of art hanging on your living room. Sadly, The Sony Bravia E4000 Series will only be available in Europe, no word as to its availability worldwide.

The E4000 series features Picture Frame Mode, displaying one’s favorite image on screen to suit the user’s mood or the ambience of the room. By default, users can select from a gallery of six artistic masterpieces stored in the television’s memory, ranging from beautiful landscapes to Pop Art and van Gogh.

Once again Sony is reinventing ideas about your television’s role in the living room,” says Hiroshi Sakamoto, Marketing and Product Planning Vice President, TV Operations Europe, Sony Europe. “The BRAVIA E4000 series blurs boundaries between consumer electronics and fine art. This innovative, gorgeously styled television set looks as good on your wall as the pictures it displays.

Philips Essence TV

By Plasma LCD on August 22nd, 2008

television24.jpg

The Philips Essence TV is a 38mm slim LCD television that will hopefully bring back the essence of Philips in the television producing industry. The Essence TV is a 42-inch LCD display which you can conveniently hang in your walls much like a picture frame.

The space saving feature of this slim television is just one of its attractions though. This display apparently will not make use of a wireless HDMI connection but will instead make use of a single cable. It is also touted to use the 9000 panel Philips has announced recently.

The Philips Essence TV is expected to be Philip’s stunner for the coming IFA which will hopefully change its reputation in the HDTV market. Don’t bet on the phot though as no image of the new Philips display has been released yet.

HP LC4776N High Definition LCD TV

By Plasma LCD on August 17th, 2008

television8.jpg

The HP LC4776N High Definition LCD TV is a 47-inch television with a 1920×1080 pixel resolution and boasts of advanced video algorithms to provide viewers with accurate image and natural colors. This LCD TV has a 1,200:1 contrast ratio and a 6ms response time. Connectivity is not a problem as it has various inputs for HDMI (three), S Video, Component Video and A/V. There’s one PC input so this LCD TV is really multifunctional.

The HP LC4776N is a glossy television that comes with a black bezel that can match the interiors of any room in your house or home office. The design and the colors are really very conservative and very old so don’t expect this TV to turn heads. It was classified as most expensive flat panel HDTV by HP when it was introduced last year but the prices have gone down.

This LCD TV however has problems producing deep blacks and for its price, there might be other better choices in the market today.
