While this computer monitor is a beauty to look at, its piano-black and high gloss finish is a nightmare when it comes to cleaning as it is a magnet to dust and offensive fingerprints. The problem with this monitor is its lack of connectivity options and multimedia features like speakers, webcam or even the very basic USB port. Adjustability is also a bit of a problem because it can only be tilted but does not have pivot and swivel features.

However, this monitor can be a gem for those who want to watch DVD movies while taking a break from work as it has and HDCP-compliant DVI port. This monitor has a 5 ms response rate and a horizontal viewing angle of 170 degrees. When using this monitor for data entry or plain display of documents you will notice that texts that have very small points of 5.3 still look pretty decent but a bit fuzzy so settle for a 6 point.

The Vizio VP422 Plasma TV is very affordable and at $799.99, this 42-inch TV can be an ideal addition to your home entertainment package. Don’t expect it to be as wonderful as the highly priced Plasmas though but it is ok for the average TV viewer.

The Vizio VP422 has great connectivity inluding a PC input and three HDMI ports. It produces clear and crisp images and has a resolution of 1024×720 pixels. It has a 30,000:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 1500 cd/m2.

However, if you are a discerning viewer then you might have a problem with the inaccurate color reproduction. There is also no aspect ratio control specifially for HD sources.
