The Pioneer PDP 508XD is not a cheap display but taking all its features into consideration it is well worth the extra expense. This 50-inch Plasma is packed with the latest KURO technology and the option to customize the speaker placement by either attaching them at the side of the set or at the bottom or to not attach them at all.

This display boasts of a 1355×768 pixel resolution and a 16,000:1 contrast ratio packaged in a black glossy frame. The narrow, thin and unadorned frame makes it a classic and sophisticated piece of equipment. With the Intelligent Brightness Control feature, you get clear images and sharp colors. Plus, this widescreen display is HD ready and comes with an HD converter.

Flat screen technology has been mastered by Pioneer, having launched the first plasma television in the world in 1997. The Pioneer PDP 508XD, which is the highest priced and highest spec model, is a good example of that. Connectivity is very good with 3 HDMI inputs, a component video input, S-Video a USB port and composite inputs.

If you have the extra bucks then you can also order the speakers and the swivel stand which are optional.
