Save Energy With Panasonic’s Neo PDP TVs

By Plasma LCD on February 15th, 2008

Your television may not be the top energy-consuming gadget in your home but imagine the savings you will get if you can have a plasma TV that is able to save as much as 50% power consumption that is usually consumed by most Plasma televisions.

Panasonic’s Neo PDP TVs, which will soon be launched by the company this year, is expected to do just that.  By takign advantage of Neo PDP technology, the new Panasonic plasma TVs are expected to cut their power consumption by almost 50 percent.  So how does Neo PDP work? It is responsible for increasing the plasma’s luminous efficiency, resulting to a 50% power consumption savings.

Panasonic’s move is not just for social responsibility sake however but it is a compliance to stricter environment rules in Japan and member-countries of the European Union which requires flat-TV producing companies to control CO2 emissions.

With this move. plasma televisions (those from Panasonic, that is) can be at par with LCD TV’s in terms of power consumption.
